Thank you once again for your prayers, thoughts and comments. Very much appreciated.

I had a better night last night: thanks be to God. I woke up at around 4:30, which is better than 2:00! I feel a bit better as well: people at work say I have a bit more colour and seem a bit more spritely.

It was good to spend the night at my parent's place, and even better as they were babysitting Skye (my niece). I played with her until my sister and brother-in-law came to pick her up at around 20:30. She chased me around the house then I chased her; she watched a bit of Rex and was fascinated by the dog; she splashed her way through bathtime; she banged chalk on her blackboard making dots; and she climbed up on and down off the lounge -- giving herself a clap whenever she finished! :D So cute.

It was good to be with my parents also: comforting and familiar.

I hadn't brought a book up with me so at bed time I searched the shelves and found The Inquisitor. I was immediately hooked: it concerns itself with mediæval France and an inquisitor (Fr Bernard) there. The beginning of the book describes the working of the Inquisition in a fascinating way, and we then move on to the arrival and horrific murder of Fr Bernard's superior. That is where I am up to. No-one at home could remember buying it oddly enough: though I'm glad it made its way there.

I've taken it with me and will look forward to reading it over the weekend.
