Thanks to all for your concern, prayers, thoughts and messages. Very much appreciated.
A rather interesting week: I went to the Opera Monday [I'll hopefully blog about that tomorrow]; I felt terrible Tuesday; and Wednesday, on the advice of my doctor, I checked myself into hospital for a few days.
I was very frightened at the time ('What is happening to me?', is all I could think), but it was very beneficial. From Wednesday to Friday I relaxed, talked to the wonderful staff, and watched more of the Commonwealth Games than I think anyone else: bar those in the ward with me. (Would it be unpatriotic to say I'm sick of hearing our anthem? 72 gold!?!? 72!?!?)
I received support and a beautiful floral and fruit arrangement from work (see picture on left); visits from my parents; a visit from a beloved friend at church; and plenty of SMSs from others: thanks be to God. The staff there were absolutely wonderful: a true blessing and a great encouragement. I'll be sending them a Thank You card soon.
I was discharged Friday afternoon and I'll spend a week or two at my parents' place. I got a good night's sleep last night so I'm feeling a bit better, and there seems to be a bit more light at the end of this tunnel. But I'm taking it day by day.
Thank you all again.
