Christus resurrexit!
[last entry: well done Elizabeth and Jack! Hristos a înviat! is indeed Romanian. Response: Adevărat c-a înviat!]

Several weeks back I think one of the cats next door had a kitten: he/she (I haven't got close enough to tell -- and I'm not sure if I could tell: I've heard it's difficult to tell the sex of kittens) is so cute. There are a few holes in the old wooden fence, and I often see the cats (3 or 4), and now the kitten, lazing in the sun on my back steps or by the fence on my side on the grass.

Today when I went out to hang the clothes on the line, they were over my side by the fence. I left the door opened. After hanging the clothes, I turned around to head back and saw that the kitten was no longer there. When I walked back in I heard a meow coming from inside. I went to the bathroom and there it was: looking up at me with such an innocent face. Too cute. The mother cat, I presume, soon came in also and made herself at home in the kitchen/lounge area. They wandered around a little before heading back out, and ducking under the fence back home.

A nice interlude to a rather quiet and uneventful day.
