Easy Come, Easy Go

I received my quarterly cheque back from our State Government for my tollroad usage on Friday. [The government had promised (ha!) not to put tolls on two roads -- but they did: so to win an election they instituted a scheme where you can get your tolls back, minus GST, on these roads. The roads are privately owned, hence the reason why the toll can't just be removed.]

Driving along Saturday, I got a flat. After getting myself covered in grease and oil -- I'm not the most apt and able at changing tyres cleanly -- I went to a tyre store. It couldn't be fixed [and was almost at the end of its life anyway], so as the front-left tyre also need replacing I bought two new tyres. The cheque I received just about covered the price of the tyres.

A very pleasant remainder of the weekend, though. My cousin was down from Tully, Queensland, with her two (very energetic!) kids. We had some entertaining times and it was great to see them again. After church on Sunday I caught up with two friends for a great lunch of Fish n Chips and plenty of entertaining conversation.
