Christ daaztsáádéé' náádiidzáá!
[last entry: wel done Eric: it was Filipino - Si Cristo ay nabuhay!; response: Siya nga ay nabuhay!]
Definitely getting a bit chilly down here now. I am thankful for electric blankets and huge doonas.
I was also thankful for the chance to stay under them a bit longer today. I was heading into work late as I had my first meeting with the psychologist down here. They have quite a large Area Health Centre in the next town (Tahmoor): larger than I was expecting. After a small error -- me parking at the Community Centre, not the Area Health Centre -- I found my way to the correct place and met with the psychologist.
It was our first meeting so we went over my history with depression and what I aimed to get out of our sessions: my aim being both to be able to have strategies in place when it hits, as well as overcoming some past troubles that I haven't fully dealt with. She was a lovely lady, who even laughed at my poor attempts at humour, and I am sure we will get on well. I believe I will be meeting her fortnightly: thanks be to God that I do have such understanding management at work that I can make up time so as to take a few hours off when needed. And thanks be to God for State health services such as this: and, though I may have other disagreements with them, our Federal Government is also to be congratulated for its funding boost to mental health. I am quite lucky in that I am not as in as much need as many others: mental illness, especially among the youth, appears to truly be one of the most pressing issues of our time.
Good news story of the day: the rescue of the two miners at Beaconsfield.
Though also sadness as the funeral for Larry Knight, who was killed in the tragedy, was held today.
