We desperately need rain: not just around Sydney to fill the catchment areas, but for the entire country so that farmers' crops may grow, graziers' livestock may be fed; and so on. Please remember us in prayer.
I do love rainy weather: expecially when I'm inside, and rugged up on a cool day like today, with a good book.
And it also gives me a chance to use a word I discovered a few years' back, petrichor: the smell of rain on dry earth -- though it tends to be far more pronounced (to me at least) in summer with a thunderstorm.
