Bike Ride to the Park

I got a small workout -- and hopefully shed a bit of the winter weight I seem to be putting on! -- on Saturday when I rode a bike, with Eden and Jessie in a buggy connected behind the bike and Skye riding her bike beside me, and took my nieces to a nearby park. One or two uphill stretches that had me getting off and pushing the bike with Eden and Jessie enjoying the view. I hope to get out on the bike a bit over the weekends (small rides, not like the longer rides
balaam,
Dormouse and Mr Dormouse,
rosamundi and a few others I cannot recall at this moment do...). There is some beautiful scenery around here and exercise helps me mentally as well as physically.
Work has dropped its busyness a little bit, but I still need a proper attitude and a "leave-work-at-the-door-as-I-leave" mentality: though given I doubt I've ever had it it may take a while. With 75 requests in my queue, and more coming in, it can get a little overwhelming -- and a perfectionist like me is never happy with what I do do so that isn't too helpful. Management and my colleagues has been great though and have given positive feedback as well as ensuring I am keeping well. They are also interviewing for another report writer which is good news indeed. God has blessed me with great workplaces.
My brother-in-law has found some work through his business as well as work through companies, so thanks be to God that is going well. My prayers he finds a constant and permanent position.
My parents are looking at moving up here now both children, and the grandchildren more importantly, are up here.
My Church Slavonic studies have not progressed at all... I hope to look into it a bit more later this week before church Saturday night and Sunday morning.
I've have watched a few movies, am enjoying another P.G. Wodehouse novel, and had a decadent serving of pancakes with hazelnut and coconut for breakfast last week at a café in Darby Street, one of the areas known for great food here -- and I wonder why the weight is creeping back on! :) But more about all that another night...
