Driving alongside the Hunter

I cross the Hunter River once on my way to work from my sister's, and then drive alongside its south arm of it for a good few kilometres. I turned onto the bridge which takes you to the Kooragang Westlands today to take some photos of the river and mangroves I pass on my way to work: and back too, but as it is dark when I drive home I wouldn't know it!

The Pacific Highway is to the right and left (behind the mangroves) of the photos respectively.

There are a few wetland conservation areas, including one with a visitor's centre, I look forward to visiting at some point.

On a side note, I will say that my internal compass, which has generally been correct, even when travelling overseas, has taken a bit of a hit -- not sure if it is the move or my age! :) While of course when I see the sun I am fine, when indoors or where the sun is hidden I seem to be very, very confused. I would've thought the photos pointed east/west rather than south/north without seeing the sun!
