Thanks be to God I was offered a position at one of the High Schools I interviewed for in early April. It is a very nice feeling to hear you have successfully navigated the application, interview, referee and consideration processes.
I am going to think about it, pray about it, and seek advice as needed as I consider my response. My thoughts are "yes, yes, yes", and the thought of supporting staff and students in an high school and an escape from Sydney does fulfil some of my thoughts as to what I want to to for work. But a move out of Sydney, away from friends and family, away from my church, to a town of less than 4,000 people, does have considerations that need to be thought upon. But is that fear? Or common-sense? Or something else?
I will also call the company I interviewed with Friday and ask if I am likely to be considered there, as that will also give me information to go on.
Your prayers, and any thoughts or advice, are always appreciated. And with me give thanks to God who is gracious and loving in all things.
Edit: I received a call from another High School just then informing me I was the preferred candidate... God is gracious. I said I would be taking the offer this morning in preference after some thought.
I realised I forgot to mention the third school let me know last week I was unsuccessful; upon calling to get more information I was told I did interview very well but one person interviewed better. I got some great feedback on my positive interview qualities and some specific pointers to two areas in particular I could improve on which was exceptionally helpful.
