Job Interview

I have my first (formal) interview since 1998 this Friday. I have only had three 'IT jobs', and the second two I got the position through knowing the person, and them knowing my work, and there was need for someone like me at the time. So I am a tad nervous.

I have wonderful friends who have helped, and will help, me to prepare and give me some advice (including a former HR manager); for which I am thankful for -- God is gracious in the friends He has given me.

The job, should I get it, will not be in Sydney, so a move elsewhere in the state will be needed. I am rather excited by the prospect of a move; while I dearly love my family and friends, and my church here, this position is one I am sure I would greatly enjoy and one that would give me a great chance to not only show my skills but also develop them and learn new skills. And a move out of Sydney, something I have desired for a while, will be an exciting, and challenging, prospect, having done so in Dublin and a bit down south from Sydney in the past. I have thought long and hard about it, and while a move is never easy, I have given it thought, going through actions and ideas on what I will do there to ensure I keep social and healthy mentally and physcially, so I do truly feel I am capable of it, would greatly enjoy it -- and I would simply love a change of scene and the chance to do this role.

That said, I am also being realistic, and not getting the hopes up too high. But having got an interview, I know I have a chance.

Any spare prayers, or advice, you may have would be greatly treasured and appreciated.
