With thanks to Miffy...

I went non-fiction in my teaser on Miffy's post last week; for this post I will turn to a collection of Uncle Fred stories by Wodehouse, my latest fiction read.

Rules as always:

• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for everybody else!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their lists if they like your teasers!

(I am assuming I can pick a second sentence that does not immediately follow the first; if I am wrong, please let me know Miffy!)

Plainly, he was unwilling to relinquish his memories of a callipygous[*] Plank.

"I would go fifty miles to judge bonny babies."

Uncle Dynamite, P G Wodehouse

[*] having shapely, beautiful buttocks; from Wiktionary.

Is not the English language grand, having such words (with thanks to the Greeks for its constitutent parts). And all thanks to Wodehouse, with whom I often need a dictionary (or the use of my smart phone to search the Internet) to look up words and phrases... I do love his writing, and wit.
