Let our mouths be filled with your praise...

So begins one of the hymns after Communion in the Divine Liturgy, and one of my favourites. After we have been fed with Christ's body and blood -- the greatest gift God has graciously given us, for by it we share in the divine nature and, by the Grace of God, we are transformed inwardly to become more and more Christ-like -- we sing that the praises of God may ever be in our mouths and that we do continually meditate on God:

Let our mouths be filled with your praise, O Lord, that we may sing of Your glory; for You have made us worthy to partake of Your holy, divine, immortal and life-giving Mysteries; keep us in Your holiness, that all the day we may meditate on Your righteousness. Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!
