Saturday Morning at the Temple of Mammon

No café visit today: I was in need of groceries, and a haircut, so I threw caution to the wind to battle the Saturday morning shoppers -- I generally shop at 9 or 10 at night when, hopefully, queues are smaller -- at the local Temple of Mammon.

I did need a coffee, though. After the haircut, I dropped by Gloria Jeans, a franchise, but with quite reasonable coffee in my experience. Being a warm day, I went for an iced-coffee: chocolate macadamia flavour to be precise. Quite nice.

I managed to get my shopping done relatively quickly also which was good: I do not like shopping centres. Especially the huge ones à la Westfield. I don't know what it is: they may look nice, they may have anything, everything, you could possibly want: but I just don't like them. And I like to spend as little time there as possible. Thankfully that was the case today.

A quiet afternoon ahead, hopefully. Tonight I'm off to the Opera House to see Opera Australia's performance of The Pirates of Penzance: looking forward to it.
