Thanks for the prayers, thoughts and comments; greatly appreciated.
As the soap-opera of my life continues [my psychologist said I'd have a smash-hit play if I wrote about my life! ;) ], I am staying. A lot happened in 18 hours...and there was a big change not only from me but from a situation at work. The setting off into the wide-blue will need to wait a while. In a sense I am relieved; some of the stresses are of my own making, and it was nice to hear from my manager, when I revealed my major struggle at work, that it was not insurmountable and that steps could be taken. Sometimes it is good to keep personal and work areas separate; perhaps in most cases. But as hard as it was for me to say what I had to, the outcome has been positive.
God is so very gracious.
So I am off to sit in the shade in backyard re-reading David Crystal's wonderful By Hook or By Crook: A Journey in Search of English, before attempting, after it cools down [~30C today out here], a bit of weeding. Rather therapeutic I find. The sounds echoing through my backyard are 10 or so rather noisy and hungry rainbow lorikeets [click here for a sound from this website] in a tree whose name I have no idea of:
