Thanks all for the comments on the new look: and thanks Dave for trimming the icon and making it look that bit better. I hope it does warm up you in the midst of your Belgian winter, Jean-Michel. :)
One of the first things I do of a morning, among my other IT jobs, is check the SurfControl E-mail Filter. We had SurfControl installed several months back, and while it is useful in stopping nasty spam getting to people's inboxes, it takes up a lot of my time. Each morning there are around 500 e-mails I need to trawl through, releasing any 'real' eMail, and deleting the spam. Monday mornings are the worst: there's been 2,500 eMails demanding my attention at times. And it takes time, a whole lot of time, to go through and check each one (I generally check the subject, and then the sender address, which gives me a good guess as to if it is valid).
But perhaps there is an easy way -- and I just don't know it. In fact I imagine there must be: we are a small organisation -- if we were a large one it may be catching several thousand a day: and I can't imagine someone going through them like I am now. I've been meaning to ask for some formal training on it: I may do so soon.
