Born at 20:26 on Friday, August 29[*]; 3.2kg and 49cm. A bit of confusion as to labour time last night, but all was revealed today: 1 hour. My sister was rather pleased about that. She also commented on the superb nature of the midwives: she was truly very happy with their kindness and support, as well as the staff in general, so all thanks and praise to those at Hawkesbury Hospital. I was also rather amazed to hear they had spas and swiss balls and other such things in the birthing area... Truly amazing to ignorant old me.

Mum is doing well; dad is smiling from ear-to-ear; my parents, the grandparents, are over the moon, and a certain uncle feels very happy and very blessed indeed.

Many, many years to Eden Raine! Although my sister is rather conservative generally, she has gone for interesting names for her daughters. Raine was chosen as it is taken from mum's name, Lorraine.
