Saturday and Sunday Fun

The picnic was very enjoyable; wonderful food, wonderful friends and a wonderful location -- what more could you want? The wonderful food included a red velvet chocolate cake and chocolate cookies made by a friend, some walnut cheese and camembert I picked up from a local Italian delicatessen, Afghan bread, duck as only the Chinese can do it, sliced meats, various dips and, in a moment of childhood regression in the supermarket I visited the night before, Ovalteenies. :)

In another moment of childhood regression I climbed a tree, chased butterflies with the 3 year-old daughter of a friend and climbed up and swung upside down on a Norfolk Island Pine when we headed up to Avoca Beach where a friend fished and where we walked out on to the rocks and then retired for a scrumptious and inexpensive [particularly considering all we got!] dinner along the beach -- sadly cannot remember its name: at least I can recall the location. Such good friends: didn't faze them at all.

Skye, Eden and Rocking HorseSunday was the joy of church as blogged about below, and then an afternoon with my delightful two eldest nieces Skye and Eden. They wore poor uncle Ian out a bit, and I was unfortunately a bit tired and short with Skye later on, but we had a most wonderful afternoon chasing each other, throwing a big bouncy ball out the back, picking flowers which Skye put on my old [and now her; my parents had it painted and fixed up] rocking horse and in Eden's hair, and time simply chatting away; as well as the leg art Eden indulged in as I blogged about yesterday. They, and Jessie [who still sleeps and sleeps], have been a bit sick of late, so nice to see them up and about.

I am blessed; thanks be to God.
