Gosh...Wednesday already!?!? Where has the week gone. I've been so busy at work I've hardly had time to look up.
But, I will try and recall the good things from last week...
Dinner with friends at the Belgian Beer Cafe...and some lovely [unexpected] presents from them for my up-coming birthday; though why any of them thought that card at top-left was at all applicable to me I cannot fathom... ;)
[though some embarrassment as I did not buy any presents for the two others having birthdays in March...didn't even cross my mind; am thinking what to get them now...]
Stumbling across 2 books I've wanted for a while at very discounted prices at a discount book store [Basement Books at Central]; Blonde Roots by Bernardine Evaristo at $3.95 [from $24.95] and Reading the OED: One Man, One Year, 21,730 Pages by Ammon Shea -- thanks DebD for the review -- at $5.95 [can't remember what is was marked down from; $24.95 I think].
The wonderful walk around Waverton and Wollstonecraft on Saturday.
Lunch on Friday at a café in Liverpool looking toward a park while reading some books.
Attending three of my church's Lenten weekday services, as well as the Sunday Liturgy which was celebrating the life and week of my Patron Saint, St John Climacus.
Personally challenging sessions in the courses I am doing: we looked at some more writings of St Teresa of Avila in the Reading the Classics course and had an in-depth look at the commandment "Do not murder" in the Moral Life in Christ course.
An impromptu lunch on Wednesday.
Not dwelling [too much] on some comments at work about my inappropriate tone and response at a meeting, but acknowledging my fault and moving on.
