Again, my most sincerest and heartfelt thanks to all who commented, or even read!, my ramblings on Wednesday -- and all ramblings of course but particularly that day. I do comment on your comments to express my thanks, and also express my thoughts if you have asked questions or provided an alternate view. I add that here so that you know I greatly value the comments, and that even if I do not mention you by name or explore anything you have written in a subsequent blog, be assured, most times [for I am forgetful at times], my thanks and a response to you will be in the comments.

Thursday was a tough day; Friday marginally better. I have decided, for the short term at least, to spend Friday lunch at one of the many nearby cafés with a good book or two and relax [in addition to any mini-visits or walks I take during the week to clear my head]: it did help me greatly. I had a good talk to two managers, and a colleague who is a dear friend on Thursday. I was, rightly, reproached by my manager for some words, moreso the tone of them, on Wednesday in a meeting and also earlier to a colleague. There is no excuse, and while management is understanding of my situation, there is no acceptable reason for me to be like that in the workplace. The ability to hide [in a sense] the way I am feeling when needed, and moreso for me to act and speak in gentleness and humility at all times, but particularly when I am stressed or agitated, is a constant struggle. Your prayers are appreciated.

Saturday is here. In just over an hour I will attend a Divine Liturgy for a Saturday of Souls service; while many Orthodox Churches have these throughout Great Lent, our parish, due to our renting situation, has one today. As Christ lay dead in the tomb on Saturday, so we commemorate the dead on Saturday.

After that I am thinking of a walk. A short one, or perhaps several short ones. It is a while since I have done one, and think it would be good for the mind and soul. As I am heading off to the Belgain Beer Café in the city tonight for dinner with friends [I am not a great beer lover, but the food is great; last time I had a raspberry beer if I recall correctly -- what a man's man I am! :D ], I may do some walks around the harbour.

This Sunday is the Fourth Sunday of Great Lent: the Sunday of St John Climacus, who is my patron saint. So a particularly blessed Sunday for me as I particularly focus on him and hear, through hymns, all he accomplished and the example he set before us in a life lived for God.

May your weekend, whatever you are up to, be a blessed one.
