Thank you all for the birthday wishes. Thanks also to many dear friends who called or sent e-mails: especially to A & M in London who sang me Happy Birthday on my voicemail at 7:30am this morning -- very nice to wake up to.
A very good day at work. My manager made a Harvey Wallbanger Cake [I'll admit to breaking the Lenten fast; couldn't refuse after her hard work!]; I received a nice card and a Shopping Centre gift coucher; and I also got a nice small mud cake from a local patisserie -- which I gave to my niece tonight. She helped me blow the candle out on top of it, and seemed to greatly enjoy eating it.
Trivia was a good laugh: even though we came fourth...out of four teams. No prize for last: there is one for second-last but the team that came third scored that as well. But it was a good night out.
Looking forward to the short break up north from tomorrow: talk to you all when I get back.
