Took Skye to Central Gardens on Sunday: wonderful to spend time with her. Continued to sing endless rounds of Ring a Ring o’Rosey with Eden.
While the funeral of my grandmother on Monday was naturally a sad occasion, talking to family and friends, her neighbour in particular as I drove her home, was a blessing. Also got to spend some time with Skye and Eden, Jessie was asleep, too which was wonderful.
A challenging and enjoyable session on Thursday evening with the Moral Life in Christ course I am doing [though an assessment is being given this week!]
Signed up for a short [4 week] course on St Teresa of Avila and St John of the Cross, which starts this Wednesday.
Was able to go to a small room at work and work alone on Friday morning as I was in a fragile state. Am happy with the fact I got through a week of work in some challenging circumstances.
Had a wonderful conversation with a friend Friday morning and another conversation with another friend Friday afternoon.
Caught up with a friend for coffee and cake on Saturday afternoon and had a most enjoyable time.
Received some wonderful words of comfort and advice in Confession on Saturday after opening up further about my anxiety and self-esteem struggles.
Ignored my inner worthiness-doubter and went to McDonald's with some people from church after Vespers and talked.
Ignored my inner worthiness-doubter for a second time, in not only one day but within a half-hour!, and accepted an invitation to a very enjoyable dinner with friends on Saturday evening.
[Saturday was a rather blessed -- and busy -- day!]
Prepared and delivered a sermon on Sunday; and received encouraging feedback after church -- and here [thank you all].
Greatly enjoyed reading Alexander McCall Smith's The Sunday Philosophy Club [though the No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency remains my favourite]; have borrowed 2 more from the series [The Careful Use of Compliments and The Comfort of Saturdays] today which I am looking forward to reading.
