Finger Infection Update II

Thank you all for your concern about my finger infection: or, perhaps you were just on the look out for some gross photos. :)

Tina: the twister effect with the cotton bud was due to me forgetting to warm up the ecto..., sorry, Magnoplasm [thanks Jack - I won't be able to get that our of my mind! :)]: when cold it is rather tough. It just stripped bits off the cotton bud.

And to the Googler from Canada who was searching for "very sore fingertip" and another Googler from regions unknown who searched for "infected finger Magnoplasm" and found my humble wiblog, I do hope you found what you needed -- and that the respective fingers are better.

On to the photos, and description:
Five days after, the Magnoplasm has been put to one side and I'm on antibiotics. A day or two ago the infection split open and some stuff oozed out. This is what my finger currently looks like (the brown discolouration is due to the iodine I've been putting on it for antiseptic purposes):
