Opened here yesterday [months (years seemingly!) after everywhere else]: and I am greatly looking forward to seeing the film soon. I think it such a fascinating topic, though I'm under no illusion, both in terms of its length (161 mins) and the fact there is so little (if any?) talking, that it may be a hard slog: I imagine it is a movie that may take half-an-hour or more to settle into. But I'm looking forward to it.

An interesting interview with the director can be found here.

Oh, and if you have a spare 4 hours and 51 minutes up your sleeve, you can watch a video of the beautiful service that marked the reunification of Moscow and ROCOR and Moscow by clicking the link (Архив трансляции 4/17 мая 2007 года) at bottom-right on this page. Thank you to Leetle Masha for her post on the Ship telling us about it. Even a few minutes watching may give some of you a taste of a truly grand Orthodox service (they're not like that at my small parish!): thanks and praise indeed be to God for this reunion.
