ABC News.

Prayers appreciated for all affected: a family of four are presumed dead after a 10 metre wide and 30 metre deep chasm opened up on the alternate road from Sydney to Newcastle; another couple is missing; and the wind and rain continue -- I haven't seen such constant heavy rain here in Sydney for some time -- here is (roughly) where I am; though look at Mangrove Mountain up north -- and where our parish is (if they still are) going to the men and women's monasteries up there: 287mm since 9am yesterday! [it's 6:15am currently]. We need it, the state needs it: but, unfortunately, it seems too much too quickly. Prayers appreciated.

And prayers appreciated for me as I travel up to Newcastle, and for all travelling this long weekend. I know I'll be taking it slowly.
