[edit: I thought I was the first to report! But Yay got in just before me: argh!
:) ]

With Deeleea and Yay, and two of Deeleea's friends from Aotearoa, a very nice, very, very nice, meal, and meet, was had at Ribs and Rumps at Manly(*).
[Miss Lisa was missed: we'll have to go down there or you come up here again soon Miss Lisa!]

I arrived a bit late and went up and looked around for them, and then found they were right next to me [I was looking for 2, not 4, people: at least that's my excuse]. We had a great table: right next to the window overlooking Manly Beach. Steak in various forms was had by the Wibsite contingent (with chips for Yay and me; potatoes for Deeleea), with the New Zealander holidayers going for a rib and steak combo, and getting some bibs to go with it (Deeleea may have photos) -- which they somehow kept immaculately clean! Onion rings were also ordered. My 350g Prime Rib?: delicious. Absolutely delicious. And very nice with the peppercorn sauce.

After a walk down the Corso, it was gelato time at Gelatissimo down at Manly Wharf, where ferries leave for Circular Quay [Sydney CBD]. Deeleea and I were considering a hot chocolate at Max Brenner's, but the 10 minute wait put paid to that. I enjoyed a coffee, with coffee beans, and choc-hazelnut gelato. We sat outside, in the cool temperatures and biting wind, with gelato: odd perhaps, but yum.

A very nice lunch and afternoon out: great to see Deeleea and Yay again, and wonderful to meet some friends of Deeleea's, who may, if only for a short time, be calling Australia home in the near future.

On a completely different topic, I was fascinated to see the carpark I used at Manly had Vehicle Licence Plate matching, so that you could only take advantage of the two hours free offer once per day. I've seen many carparks where signs have been displayed saying you can only have one entry per day for the free time limit, but I've never worked out how they could police it. It seems someone in Manly has worked out a way. Interesting.

(*) and yes, as you are probably thinking, it was so-named after Captain Arthur Phillip, founder of Sydney and Governor of New South Wales, saw the indigenous people and "their confidence and manly behaviour".
