What Flower is That?

Any idea what the red flowers to the left are?
They, together with the purple flowers from the house behind [I was told what they were called once but have forgotten], cheer me up with their vibrant colours whenever I'm hanging washing on the line, or taking it off: that little garden is in the SE corner of our backyard, right next to the clothesline.
Flowers, plants and trees are wonderful things: thanks be to God for them, and thanks be to God that the plants we have don't require a great deal of water in these dry times -- though the recent rain has certainly brightened them up a bit.
