Two movies in one week...must be a record for me.
Harry Potter month: the new, and final, book is released toward the end of the month, and the movie was released yesterday. I saw it tonight, and thought it pretty darn good.
It is amazing to see how the three main characters in particular are growing: they look so very different each year. Though it's no doubt to be expected. It is also wonderful to see all those fine British actors, and Imelda Staunton, who plays Dolores Umbridge, is a stand-out in particular: she plays the role wonderfully. I also thought Evanna Lynch, who played Luna Lovegood, was great also.
As always, the special effects are marvellous and there are plenty of laughs to be had. But it is dark, as the book was: very, very dark. It was also rather short I thought compared to the other films, strange perhaps as The Order of the Phoenix has been the biggest book (so far at least). I could've watched for longer, but I left the cinema very content -- and looking eagerly to getting my hands on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows on July 21.
