We bounded up from fifth place after Round 2 to first after Round 3, the final and most difficult round, getting 8 out of 10 and scoring 24 points out of 30 -- our highest score ever for that round. There was much rejoicing tonight.(*)
Those who were hoping for more pain and suffering in relation to my welts and blotches may be disappointed to know that they have gone. And have been replaced by dry lips -- hardly as exciting.
Tomorrow night I'm off to see countertenor Philippe Jaroussky as guest soloist for the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra's French Passion and Italian Masters concert.
Saturday morning, 9am, I'll be at my local Borders bookstore to collect my copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and perhaps my free Owl [for my niece of course! :)] -- and then I'll lock myself away and begin reading. I'll see you when I surface.
(*) this morning we told our colleagues we won, only to be greeted with, "Weren't there many people there last night?" -- how rude! :)
