Slightly Tanned and Slightly Unshaven

Several weeks of 30C+ temperatures; arriving home at around 20:00; heading to work the next morning in a daze and forgetting to shave... You are unlikely to see me slightly tanned and slightly unshaven again, so I submit this as a record. The women at work expressed surprise I could tan. I also appear [to them] to have lost a bit of weight: a surprise given the amount of food I ate [particularly in Georgia], but it was probably healthier and I walked a great deal as well. I expect to put it back on quick smart.

My big-spend item: a Georgian carpet. It is in the style of the Georgians living in Iran who began to be taken there under Shah Abbas I in the early 17th century. I loved the colours and patterns, and thought -- why not? I plan to hang it on my bedroom wall.
