Manual of Love 2, which I saw last night.

I'm going to have to see if I can rent, even buy, Manuale d'amore as Manual of Love 2 was simply wondrous. The director, Giovanni Veronesi, has said he intends to make five films dealing with all aspects of love -- this being the second.

The movie looks at four episodes: a man paralysed in a car-crash survivor who falls in love with his physiotherapist; an infertile couple who fly to Barcelona for fertility treatment; the lead-up to a gay wedding, and a father who cannot handle his son's homosexuality; and an older waiter at a posh restaurant having an affair with a kitchen assistant known to his family. It is funny; it is sad; it is entertaining; it is heart-wrenching. All emotions are covered in this very enjoyable movie. Well recommended.

Two more movies for me to see as part of the Italian Film Festival, both on Sunday afternoon [one after the other]. Looking forward to them.
