Tagged by Victoria over two weeks back; finally getting around it.

What are you current obsessions?
Georgia. With my tour less than a month away [yipee!!], I am reading The Lives of the Georgian Saints [thanks John for the recommendation] and Ali and Nino: A Love Story [recommended by the tour director]. I also have The Ghost of Freedom: A History of the Caucasus [again recommended by the tour director] waiting to be read, and some Georgian phrases [with audio] sent by a tour participant to look at and review -- I'd like to know a few words.

What item in your wardrobe do you wear most often?
A black short-sleeved shirt.

What's for dinner?
I am in the mood for tabouleh today: my colleague was talking about it yesterday and it is on my mind. May grab some to have for lunch and have some more before I head off to class at the Catholic Institute.

What are you listening to?
The hum of our Call Centre.

Dare I confess the last song I listened to was Germany's 2009 Eurovision Entry Miss Kiss Kiss Bang via YouTube this morning?

What are your favourite holiday spots?
Yellowstone National Park is my favourite of all time: the few days spent there last December met, and exceeded by far, all expectations.
Within Oz, I like escaping big cities: a small town or city in the bush or near forests, lakes and bushwalking tracks.
Outside of Oz, I liked Austria: skiing and spectacular scenery. I also like to get out and see nature, but big cities and sights have an appeal too -- considering the distances we need to travel from here to get anywhere!

What are you reading right now?
As well as the above, I am reading Henry Chadwick's East and West: the making of a rift in the Church and re-reading Bishop Ignatius Brianchaninov's The Arena: An Offering to Contemporary Monasticism. St Gregory of Nyssa's The Life of Moses is being read and looked at through the "Reading the Classics" short course I am doing at the Catholic Institute.

What is your guilty pleasure?
Cheesy pop and disco music.

Who or what makes you laugh?
Currently my eldest niece Skye is high on the list. Though I laugh at everything and anything.

What is your favourite spring thing to do?
Drives and walks.

Where are you planning on travelling next?
Istanbul and Georgia.

What is the best thing you ate or drank lately?
I had a nice Gewürztraminer on Saturday. The schnitzel that went with it was pretty nice too.

When was the last time you were tipsy?
It has been a while...a wedding or birthday party I imagine.
[If it was more recent I am sure a reader will tell me! :)]

What is your favourite ever film?
Mmmm...tough. My interests range from Hitchcock's The Lady Vanishes to the French comedy Odette Toulemonde to Amadeus. Does that help? The movie which has probably effected, and resonated, the most with me was the German film Nichts als Gespenster [Nothing but Ghosts].

What is the biggest life lesson you have learned from your kids?
No kids, but from my niece I have seen the joy and beauty of innocence and pure, selfless love.

What song can't you get out of your head?
Currently Germany's 2009 Eurovision Entry "Miss Kiss Kiss Bang". :help:

What book do you know you should read but refuse to?
"War and Peace". It's so big!

What kind of learner are you? Auditory, Visual?
Visual.
