Thank you for your prayers for our parish. The Archbishop came to our parish on Sunday and told us a priest from Melbourne is coming up to Sydney to study his Masters at St Andrew's Greek Orthodox Theological College next year. We will meet him, and his wife, on November 4. Your continued prayers are appreciated; and all thanks and praise to God who provides all.

Thank you also for the comments, support and prayers regarding my post below. Spelling things out and seeing them written, in my words, is quite helpful for me: helpful not only in identifying various issues, but also in, God willing, coming to an acceptance of who I am. Unordered's comment about not fitting in I found interesting: perhaps I am not meant to fit in, and God has some plan, but I wish He didn't believe I was strong enough to cope with it! Thank you again.

Our new Online Help Desk Support person, and my IT assistant, started today. He is originally from Eritrea, worked with the UN in Sudan, and was given a visa by the Australian government to study out here. He has done a Computing Science degree, and at the same uni I did mine [though no doubt his subject matter was far more up-to-date than mine!], and is looking for some new challenges. I hope we can provide them. We got on very well at the interview and this continued today: not only with me but with all of our staff. He has a wonderful sense of humour and is very eager to learn, asks many questions, and is simply a really nice guy. I'm looking forward to working with him.

My friend who was supposed to return to the US today has not left: he is laid up in bed with a fever and chicken pox! Prayers appreciated for him in his time of sickness.
