A busy week

Well, my assistant certainly got a baptism of fire: one of the servers crashed just after he left late Monday [his first day], so he came on Tuesday to be greeted with the information. A lot of chasing around, calling specialists, and doing various things. A few serious issues with PCs occurred during the as week as well. Never dull here, as I told him.

I caught up with my friend with the chicken pox Thursday, where we watched Seinfeld, and today, where we went to the local shopping centre's food court to have Ali Baba for lunch. He's much better, though a few spots remain. And it's great to spend more time talking the hours away with him: I do greatly miss him when he's over in the US -- there is e-mail and there are phones: but that is something about sitting down and talking and eating with friends that cannot be beaten. He leaves tomorrow, and I'll head off to the airport to say goodbye.

Prayers appreciated for my grandmother, and my dad and uncle as well as the rest of the family: she has been re-admitted to hospital due to an infection and her having trouble breathing.
