Thank you again for your comments, thoughts and prayers; they are appreciated and valued by not only me, but my family also. The funeral will be Tuesday. There have been dramas, disagreements and a few heated words as all the planning for the funeral takes place: but we are all friends. Better to get it out I say.
But, for me at least, seeing Skye's smiling face and hearing her chatter away does indeed raise in me much joy. And I see it in my parents and uncle as well.
On the topic of Skye...she does love to help, as you can see by the photos! She loves carrying one of the the dogs' bowls out for dinner time, and placing their dry food in the bowls beforehand -- this was the first time I heard her say he wanted to wash up.
And thank you for the prayers for our parish also. Our new priest served today: no doubt impressing my godfather with a sermon that made much reference to St John Chrysostom, his most beloved saint. I had to rush off, so I did not get to meet him or his wife [a simple "Hello" at the blessing post-Liturgy was it], but I look forward to getting to know them when he begins as our parish priest in mid-December.
