5:30am...I am at Sydney Airport...and there is a slight hiccough with my booking. No doubt due to the changes. Air New Zealand are on the case and I'm to check back at 6am. Very helpful staff. I do hope I can get up, up and away...I do want my holiday!

Thanks be to God for free Internet, Wiblogs, and Facebook Scrabulous! :)

Nan's funeral was yesterday, and it did go well: even if I did get a bit frustrated at the 'attempt to convert the living' sermon that was given: perhaps I am a bad Christian, well, I know I am, but perhaps I am worse than I thought: I do believe Christianity to be the Truth, and I do believe it important people know the truth; however, I do not think such a sermon at a funeral, particularly that of someone who was agnostic at best, is appropriate. Anyway, it was a relatively small part of what was a beautiful service, and I know my sister's Pastor's message through the sermon was heartfelt, and I respect that.

Dad and my sister gave wonderful eulogies, and two people [a friend of my uncle's and a relative of dad's by marriage] also said a few words. The funeral home chapel was beautiful. I read one of the Bible readings [my brother-in-law did the other]. We then went to the club, one of nan's favourite clubs, for some finger food, drinks, and lots of conversation and reminiscing. I thought it a good day, as good as such a day can be. Thanks to dad, mum and my sister, among others, for all the work they did towards it.
