Three more performances left; if you can get to it I highly recommend it. I went with three friends on Saturday, and it was a most wonderful and heart-felt production. It is always a blessing to meditate on the final days, and hours, of Christ's life, and a live performance such as the Turramurra Passion does indeed "bring it to life", as the action occurs in front of you. And it was simply superb to watch, and participate in in some way as you make your way around the grounds of Turramurra Uniting Church. The actors were wonderful in their roles, as were those behind the scenes. I got to catch up with the director, whom I know, afterwards, which was also a great blessing. Looking forward to next year already. Before the performance, I had dinner with five friends at a local Thai restaurant, where my birthday celebrations continued with two lovely gifts [an engraved pen and a gift card for a bookstore] and a very indulgent chocolate mousse cake. It was great to see friends again, two of whom I have not seen for quite some time, and simply share a meal, and dessert!; there are few better things than time with friends. The weekend also had me completing and tidying up my assignment, due today. It was dull. Very dull. So the motivation was not there. I am not sure whether it is the subject itself, or the fact it is the last subject I am doing as part of my Graduate Certificate [not sure whether to continue to the Masters...], or simply general feelings of malaise, or a combination of all three -- but unlike last year's subjects I am finding it hard work to get motivated or interested. Regardless, I plow on...a month or so to go until my final assessments [a report and a presentation]: I can relax after that.
