Thank you all for the welcome home messages.
It is just, after a day on the computer at work, I'm not currently in the mood to do much on the PC at home. I'll endeavour to pull my finger out and blab about and show photos of my trip. I'm still very much in the holiday mode...
On the topic of work, kudos must go to my fine assistant who, after only 2 weeks of training, found out just how badly things can go while I was away. If something could break or have gone horrible wrong, it did. I am surprised he didn't run away...I would've been tempted to. But I am glad he stayed: he is a great asset, and a great colleague.
We have our Christmas party this Saturday night: looking forward to it. Apparently I'm to reprise my role of Santa Claus (in the fat suit) for the Christmas Party and hand out lollies while the company Choir [something formed for fun and where, as they admit, strength in vocals takes precedence to harmony!] sings. Heaven knows what the main office will make of us!
