But first, thank you all. I do not know what else to say. This is truly a most wondrous community, and I feel blessed to know you all -- if most, only virtually, though I have had the great blessing and honour of meeting a few of you. And I hope for future get-togethers as well.

It is strange how the same invalid and unhelpful thoughts come back; if I look back to my time at uni similar thoughts were there. Though at the time I did not understand the nature of my sexuality and it scared me. I may know now, but I am not sure it helps: I am sure it does, but I feel no different in the sense of not making progress. But, if I have Orthodox thought right, this life is a struggle, a constant struggle -- yet one in which we know Christ has gained us the victory. And I pray I can rest in that.

Again, my most heartfelt thanks to you all for the prayers, the advice and the kind comments; all gratefully received and appreciated.

After a nice lunch, with G&T!, for my up-coming birthday [Sunday: 32] yesterday, a colleague brought in some chocolate brownies for us to share today. Mmmm. It may only be 9:07am but I've already scoffed one with my cup of tea. Lenten abstinence has given away rather quickly, sadly, today. On Sunday afternoon I will be at my assistant's son's first birthday: we share the same day, and the same mental age I believe. :) Looking forward to my first taste of Eritrean food too. Sunday evening will be with the family. And Sunday is also, for us Orthodoxen, the Fourth Sunday of Great Lent: The Sunday of St John Climacus, my Patron Saint, so, God willing, it will be a blessed day.

I am leaving work in the early afternoon today to head down to Canberra, to attend CAMRA's [Canberra Academy of Music and Related Arts] performance of Bach's St John Passion. I am also looking forward to seeing fellow wiblogger Singing Semele and catching up with her for dinner tonight. And I am very much looking forward to my time there; a short-break [overnight], but what will be a great one I am sure.
