A win at my first week back at trivia -- that was nice. Special topic was "Inventions", and we have a very wise group among us on that topic. A bit of amusement when I, and my boss, gave the answer "Magic" to a question: our scribe recorded it as "Blackjack". We got 19/20 for that round.
Now I am a Team Leader [of one, but still! :)], I was off to the Development Workshop for such persons yesterday. It was held at an education room at the beautiful Mt Annan Botanic Gardens. The course focussed on workplace culture, with a particular emphasis on managing staff. I found it truly helpful. While one staff member is fairly easy to manage, and I truly do have a great assistant, being new to it all there is a lot of information that was useful -- and the day was not only helpful but also very entertaining. The fantastic coffee and cakes, and bbq lunch, didn't hurt either!
