Hiding Behind Generalities

I thank November In My Soul for his open and honest sharing in the post below. My prayers are with you.

I realised I did not comment too much on my own failings in regard to the quotes I gave, but believe me -- they exist. A comment made to me during a Confession was that I talk too much in generalities: and I do. Using the second person or royal "one" or "we" is something I need to work at removing -- and start using "I". "I" the sinner; "I" the angry one; "I" the grudge-bearer. Not to, as it were, flagellate and beat myself up -- but to me honest and admit my sins: so that I can cry out to the Lord to help me overcome them.

It is too easy for me to speak, or write, in generalities; I need to be more specific when it comes to me.
