Skye - Christmas DressChrist is Born!
Glorify Him!

A joyous Christmas 2007. Tinged with sadness though, as one grandmother was no longer with us: I can but pray, if they have feasts and holy days in heaven, she had a wonderful time with her husband and sister in the celestial city. However, thanks and praise to God, it was a joyous day.

One of nan's sister's friends sent down the beautiful Christmas dress for Skye which she liked and was very proud of. It was, however, the presents which excited Skye. She received everything and anything: clothes, books, games, a backyard tent!, toys and a lovely train set from nanny and poppy. She loved playing with it, and she placed the toy animals I gave her in the open carriages. At one point, I came into the living room to see her with the toy crocodile lying on the tracks and the train coming towards it: and Skye pointing and laughing. I think I may need to be concerned!

I did well: I received Doctor Who Series 3[*], and Series 6 and 7 of Kommissar Rex. There were also some chocolates, from family and work colleagues, which I am greatly enjoying. I also received from my dear friend Annette some wonderful cuff links. I had bought back a small coloured glass vase from The Isle of Wight for mum and a formal shirt from Wales for dad, as part of the presents I gave them.

After presents: food. Lots of food. Yum. And not forgetting the bon-bons and their appalling jokes. Skye did like her crown though. Then pudding and pavlova. After a short break, and a sleep for some, it was a trip in nanny and poppy's spa. It was a rather cool Christmas, for one in summer, but the spa was lovely and warm.

A wonderful Christmas, thanks be to God.
