Released in Australia as Hunting and Gathering: the rather enjoyable movie I saw this afternoon.

Ever since seeing Audrey Tautou in Amélie I have loved her: there is something about her. Sweet, so sweet: but there also appears to be an impish and wry sense of humour behind the smile -- and this comes out in this movie. [I also thought her wonderful in A Very Long Engagement and Priceless, and bought The Spanish Apartment and The Russian Dolls which she was also in.]

Tautou plays Camille, an office cleaner [or 'surface engineer' as she states at the beginning] and leads a reasonably lonely life. She meets Philibert who shares his opulent apartment with Franck, a chef with quite a temper. Camille and Franck begin detesting each other...though it is fairly clear the plot is being set up for them to fall in love. Franck's grandmother, who broke her hip and is recuperating, comes into the story and helps set up a very strange 'family' of four. The movie is a lot of fun, with the loud exchanges between Camille and Franck [wonderfully played by Guillaume Canet -- I'll have to look up more of his movies: he is an actor and director] are a particular delight.
