Shakespeare, Saturday and a Stuffed Head

The Comedy of Errors performed by the Sydney Shakespeare Festival was absolutely wonderful. A fantastic play, wonderful actors and actresses, and a great location. I do find it takes me 15 or so minutes to get into the swing of most Shakespeare plays -- I imagine it is the language and verse style of delivery. But once I am in, I am in, and I was captivated and transported away. Looking forward to Macbeth on Friday. Unordered commented that I am good at getting out and doing things. Interesting that I do not see it that way, though a great number of people tell me so. I enjoy many things that are on offer, and try and keep abreast of festivals and other events to keep myself entertained. Being single has its advantages I suppose in this respect too, but there are times I wish my self-esteem and anxiety would give way and I would consider inviting a friend or two. I have a bit of a silly and defective brain when it comes to inviting people places: I simply tend not to. But that may be a discussion for another day. Saturday was spent at work, being there for an upgrade of our system as well as catching up on various other things while our IT support company was doing their stuff. It appears to have gone well, so thanks be to God. Today I woke up with a very sore throat, a runny nose and a very stuffed head. A cold in summer. Though given how the temperatures have swung from almost 40C to 25C, and perhaps cooler at night, perhaps it is not too surprising. The head IT guy at work was terribly unwell with a cold Friday, so I suspect some bug is going around. I had planned to upload and bore you with more photos, but a PC is the last thing I want to look at today so your suffering will have to wait for a few more days. A joyous and blessed weekend to all.
