Today is Ash Wednesday in the Western Church. My prayers for all who are commemorating Lent from today. I will be joining our Roman Catholic cousins at Paddington for an Ash Wednesday service tonight.
[edit: unfortunately, there were a few issues at work so, staying back, I did not make it to St Francis: I hope to get there for Tenebrae in Holy Week perhaps.]
On the topic of Lent and Easter, as I do each year, I remind you of The Turramurra Passion if you are in or near to Sydney. As the website states, The Turramurra Passion is an interactive and slightly modern interpretation of the Passion Play tradition. It tells the story of Easter - the last weeks of the earthly life of Jesus of Nazareth. Tickets are free, but it is recommended you book as space is limited.
