Study

To say I have been a bit lazy over these two week of holidays would be an understatement. A rather large understatement. I have not progressed as much as I had hoped, so the eyes will need to hit the books and fingers the keyboards quite a bit over the next three weeks.

Oddly, when I go back we only have three weeks of classes for the rest of Spring semester; we had eight weeks prior to the holidays. The discrepancy between 8 and 3 is rather striking and makes me feel, "What is the point?" But, the lecture topics look interesting.

There appears to be quite a bit of studying going on around the Wibsite; excuse me if I forget anyone, but I am aware of Tractor Girl returning to study, and I believe Deeleea may be as well; Yay is now a final-year medical student, and we have the very intelligent PhD students Jack the Lass and Chalky. I do like to study -- I like to keep the brain ticking. I also like the social interaction.

Jack and Tractor Girl posted a number of very worthwhile suggestions for study in September; I cannot offer more. I did discover, thanks to my sister, that students in Australia can get Microsoft Office Ultimate for life for AUD$75- [the recommended retail price is AUD$1150-]: a very nice saving. Not sure if there are similar offers is other countries.
