Tropical Ink System

Apparently the 4 pen packet I bought yesterday uses a "Tropical Ink System". Given I am not in the tropics, should I be concerned it may not work? I am also rather concerned that while it has "New" splashed all over it, it also has 30th Anniversary [1972-2002] on it?: 5 year-old new pens? Anyway, we shall see how it goes.

So I have new pens for the first day, or rather evening, of my uni course. I also bought some writing pads which can be slotted into a binder [also bought] as well as some sheet protectors. I am ready. I will be leaving work a bit early to get my student card and such.

Apart from navigating the aisle of pens [truly, there are a wide variety available] at Big W, I also visited T2, a delightful tea shop. Free samples of a variety of iced teas were on display for the taking. I had a rather poor experience with Iced Tea back in Canada in 2001 I think, and have never gone back. But when I saw Lemongrass and Ginger Iced Tea I thought I would give it a go -- and mmm mmm mmm: I am back into Iced Tea.

I bought a Jasmine Tea scented candle, a Chrysanthemum tea and a Lemongrass and Ginger tea leaf pack for my colleague who is leaving this Friday, to thank her for being such a great friend over these past few years. I then went across to the T2 Tea Shop, where I indulged in another iced-tea, scones and a dough bun with melted chocolate inside. Mmm.

In the afternoon, Skye came over and she coloured in [I have a few examples here at work], played with the dogs in the backyard and I pushed her on the swing: "Higher, higher!", being her constant cry.

I also went for a short bike ride in the early evening.

A very pleasant day.
