Well, Thursday's class was 100 times better [to me] than Monday's. A better 'vibe' in terms of the class, and of far more interest to me than the subject I sat through on Monday. I truly think it will help me gain a broader understanding of how IT projects run from all perspectives, which was my interest in doing the course. I do not, at this stage, want to be a Project Manager: I merely want to broaden my perspective away from my technical background and get an idea of how all areas work within a project.
So I have dropped my elective and will only do one subject this semester: Project Management on Thursday.
It was a sad Friday at work: and tears were shed. A beloved colleague [and one who sits next to me] left. She will be greatly missed, and not only by me; she truly was a light and a joy to our working lives. However, I cannot help be happy for her as she wants to do something else [she is not sure yet what], and with that in mind I am happy for her, wish her the best, and look forward to hearing about where she goes in the future. Before she left she sent a lovely e-mail, thanking all for something they brought to our company and to her: it proved she knew us all very well. I will say what she wrote about me caused me to cry: very generous and very loving. I don't claim to be tough.
Good luck and my prayers L.
