Pars vite et reviens tard

Have mercy on us all, or Seeds of Death as the title came up: thus causing, so I judged by the intake of breath and mutters, confusion as to whether we were in the right cinema. But we all were.

A very interesting film: and extremely different to what I envisaged -- a rather large number of humorous moments in what is a rather dark thriller. A town-crier in modern-day Paris takes monety to read out various notices -- one of which makes reference to a coming pestilence: the Plague. An investigation sets off to find out who is responsible and how those being targetted are linked. An enoyable film, with some very interesting plotlines and events. There were some parts, such as the inspector's love interest, that I would've liked to see explored further, but all-in-all it was an interesting film.

This was my fifth movie of the French Film Festival, and I have five more to go -- and a busy weekend ahead: one Friday and two each Saturday and Sunday.
