Messiah

A wonderful performance yesterday at St John's Anglican Cathedral of Parts II and III of Handel's Messiah.

And my enjoyment was apparently clear for all to see. One of the members of the choir, unknown to me and I to her, came up to me in the intermission and said how wonderful it was to see someone enjoying themselves so much: moving their head and mouthing words and more. In an embarrassed state I apologised, but she would have none of it. She even suggested I may want to join a chorus for a production pre-Christmas. I politely declined, indicating while I can nod and mouth words, my actual singing voice is best never heard.

I do admit I have trouble containing myself when it comes to music: I am definitely not one who can sit still. Music speaks to me, and moves me: and I love that it does.
