Well, the day turned out rather well -- activity-wise and weather-wise. Today looks like it could be a bit more stormy though, and it was cooler overnight. At least the strong winds are drying my clothes quickly.
To Quantum of Solace. While I did think the plot rather thin and there were some very strange logic leaps, I enjoyed the ride. And what a ride it was: plenty of action and adventure. I do like Daniel Craig's Bond; he seems more down-to-earth and his emotional investment draws me in as well. I spoiled myself and went to the Gold Lounge, where I not only had a more comfortable lounge-style seat, but I enjoyed wedges and an iced coffee, delivered to my seat just as the movie began.
I also spent rather more than I intended at some outdoor clothing/equipment stores, not so much adding what I needed for my adventures to the Grand Canyon and Yellowstone but rather getting a whole new wardrobe. Oh well. I am very happy with what I bought and it will last me a long time, God willing.
[Oh dear...rain -- heavy rain; please hold a moment while I get my clothes off the line.
Thank you.]
After such a hedonistic and materialistic day, it was to church for Bible Study [I missed Vespers]. Last night was more a free-for-all Q & A session than a dedicated topic, and some interesting questions were raised ranging from modern Saints to Creation to suggestions on reading the lives of the Saints. I, sloth I am, slept in today [most unusual] so I missed church. But I think I needed it: I feel as if the fog of my mental mind is slowing lifting: I do not feel odd [or, as odd :) ]; I do not feel hazy; I feel as if I know what is going on. Thanks and praise be to God.
